XNTIMATE: A Queer Sexploration of Erotic Rites of Passage

What stories from your sexual past have shaped you the most?

Which ones do you grieve, which ones do you celebrate, which ones do you leave out?

In a rugged exploration of what intimacy truly means, KJ Song invites you on a deeply personal tour of their erotic past, sharing stories from their life, including ones they don't want to tell. After 2 years of writing and edits, this piece is both heartbreaking and hilarious, and as real as it is raw. Come with your kleenex, come with your jaw ready to drop, and prepare to be enveloped in the art of story-telling of the juiciest variety.

Storytelling is a powerful mode of expression, integration and connection. Telling and witnessing stories is a way of sharing our humanness, and deepening a sense of belonging in community. It also supports us to make meaning of our experiences and inspire ourselves and others into greater permission to be who we are.

There may be nothing more suppressed in our culture, than the truth of our experiences as erotic beings. There is not nearly enough celebratory, nonjudgmental spaces for us to share those parts of ourselves with each other, and get to know ourselves more deeply through that sharing.

We aim to normalize and elevate various expressions of eroticism as healthy, innate aspects of being human. We can theorize all we want about the nature of sexuality, but storytelling is one of the most potent ways to truly feel seen, embraced, and celebrated in who and how we are.

This event is for anyone who has a story to tell, and is excited about the opportunity to refine their capacity to write and share it. This space is kink, vanilla, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ friendly. For folks who have stories written and are looking for inspiration and guidance in turning those stories into performance. For folks who are shy about performance and wanting to lean into that edge. For folks who may not feel comfortable performing but would love to write their story and witness the performance of others.
